Mister Independent

A funny thing happened the other day, we had a bag of trash sitting in the kitchen about to be taken out (that's not the funny part by the way), and Jude decided that he at not even 2 years of age was big enough and old enough to take it out himself!

Now believe me when I say this, I am seriously looking forward to the day when that is actually the case, but alas, we are not there yet, so I will enjoy this, where we are, where I can laugh at my sweet baby boy and how big he's getting and how big he thinks he is...

What was even funnier was that I knew I had seen this before.  Just maybe a year and a half ago, I watched his big sister do the exact same thing...

You can read about her little journey here...

He was very determined, even when his bossy and independent sister tried to take over...

He won and got the door open himself, and just like her tried to take it all the way out to the trash can, but just like with Annalee, I didn't let him go down the steps with that bag...but he was very proud of himself just the same, and now anytime there is a trash bag taken from it's trash can he runs over ready to do his job.

One day sweet boy, one day...

My Loves

I snapped a few photos on Sunday morning before church since I thought we had plenty of time (turns out I was wrong and had completely lost my mind that morning) and mainly because I thought they were looking exceptionally cute that day.

I love how they turned out (not exactly photo quality wise, but content wise)

They were being funny and precious and just being their little selves...

Annalee before I got the boys up from their naps. I picked out the dress, and jacket, but she insisted on the boots...turns out, I like it.

Now Jude is up, getting a photo of just one of them is a challenge, more than one of them is nearly impossible.

But for some reason they were relatively eager to oblige.

Then throw Ezra into the mix and things get really interesting.

He can hold himself up pretty good, but not with Annalee laying on him...

And Jude was off in his own little world...but it worked...I got all 3 of them in photo that I don't hate, around here we call that success.
