Today was a good day...We had an awesome service at our church, came home to a great lunch and then decided to put off nap time and head to a local pumpkin patch at Niven's Farm...the babe's had a great time! They got to see, pigs and cows and baby goats and pregnant goats and sheep, and llama's and ponies and turkeys and chicken and even baby chicks!
Plus they got to play in the pumpkin patch and on all sorts fun things the farm has set up just for kids...like a Tee Pee!
Annalee looking at the animals...
The best I could get of this one...
Annalee in the tunnel thingy...it took a couple of tries for her to get all the way through...
But she finally did it!!
On the tire jumpy thingy...yeah I have no idea what these things are called...but the kiddos loved them!
Jude really liked the pumpkins! Thought they were hilarious!!
then, we headed home, as it was evident the kiddos feeling the whole no nap thing...got home around 4 pm...only 3 hours late for the afternoon nap...they napped about an hour and both woke up screaming...that continued until I could them a snack and get them outside where daddy was starting the process of putting up the swing set (more details in a later post...) and the grumpiness continued until after we came in and had dinner...it was a nice reminder as to why I keep them on a good sleep schedule...
But it was a good day, and both are sleeping soundly now...ahhhh....
Sorry they had to miss their naps, but sounds like they had fun at the pumpkin patch. :) Cute pics and Jude is getting too big!!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! Annalee is so cute on that jumpy thing, and Jude's face is adorable with those pumpkins! You are one brave woman to put off nap time though... my kids are cranky for naps before we even get out to the church parking lot! There's no way we could have pulled that off. Seems like it was worth the cranky afternoon!
