Still the Little Mama...

If you can remember back about a year ago, I opened this blog with this post Little Mama...and she is still at it. The other day Annalee insisted on feeding Jude some cereal, so I let her. She pulled up a chair and took his bowl and spoon and very proudly doled out a piece at a time for him to eat.

She is such a little nurturer, if she sees me crying (which unfortunately due to these pregnancy hormones, happens way more often than I would like) she comes up to me and says "Mommy you ok?" Once I guess I had complained about the baby kicking me in the bladder one to many times and when I was crying over who knows what (the dog pooping in the floor, or all the toys scattered though out the house, or Jay not answering my text...seriously??) she said "Mommy, you bwatter hurt?" That made me laugh so hard, my sadness was instantly removed! The day I found out she had pneumonia, had been a particularly difficult day (including very little sleep the night before, and falling in my kitchen on my way out the door) and the diagnoses sent me over the edge and I started crying when I was telling Jay how sick she was on the phone on the way home, and I hear from the back seat "Mommy, you ok? You want my sucker??" How stinkin sweet is that??? If Jude falls or is upset about something she is always quick to go over and pat hime and say "it's ok Jude" or to try and give him his paci...I really love seeing this part of her personality develop. She is going to be a great mommy someday, and her brothers are lucky to have her as their big sister :)

  1. What a sweetheart you've got! :) I still remember Keely coming in around 2 yrs old and rubbing my back saying "It's ok" as I was throwing up into the toliet when I was pregnant with Brynleigh. I'll never forget that moment. She also is very sweet to Bryn when she hurts herself some how. She'll go ask her if she's ok and give her a hug, it's really cute b/c Brynleigh will do the same when Keely is crying too. ;)

  2. It must be a girl thing then, cause Jude definitely does not try to comfort Annalee!! LOL
