The Tea Set

Annalee is a very imaginative child.  She LOVES to play pretend.  Her play kitchen is her most favorite gift from Christmas, (thank you Mimi) and she plays "pots" every single day with it.  She also loves to dress up and pretend to be grown up...another favorite gift from Christmas is her Tea Set (thank you DADA) it is a really cute painted metal tea set, complete with tray, kettle, cups and saucers.  She also plays with this pretty much every day... But there have been several days when straightening up her room at night, that I can't find the tea set to put it back in it's case.  I may find a stray cup or saucer, but most of the set is missing.  The first time this happened, I didn't pay much attention, I figured it would turn up eventually...well 2 days later it had not turned up...so I went on a mission and looked in every possible nook and cranny...any cabinets she can get into in the kitchen, in her closets, under the crib, in her toy box, under the couch, the ottoman etc...still no tea set...finally after looking every where else, I decided to look under her dresser, there was just barely enough room for it to slide under there, and sure enough, every single piece of that set was shoved under the dresser...well I thought it was interesting, and wondered what she had been playing to make her want to shove it all under there, but didn't think about it again...until a couple of weeks later...it went missing again...and again I scoured the house...looking under the dresser first this time...but nope not there...I was stumped again...until I noticed the afore mentioned play kitchen was leaning a little...I picked it up, and guess what was under it...the Tea Set...This definitely gave me a giggle, and I again wondered what her little brain was thinking...but went on with my life and didn't think about it again...until a few days later I went to get Annalee's laundry from the hamper in her room, and as soon as I pulled the bag out of the basket, I heard clank clank clank...and I immediately knew what was in there...so on my way to the laundry room I grabbed my camera, I fugured 3 times of hiding the tea set deserved to be captured on film...

Then I once again put it away, and went on with life...  We are in the process of moving the baby furniture out of Annalee's room and into Jude's so that his room is fully functional, and we can make room for Annalee's Big Girl room...so the dresser/changing table in her room is almost empty except for the top drawer that still holds diapers and such, so the other day, I guess my brain wasn't working properly (it does that occasionally when you haven't had more than 5 straight hours of sleep in almost 3 months) and when I went to pick out Annalee's clothes for the day I opened the 2nd drawer of her dresser, and of course there were no clothes there...but guess what was there...yep...the Tea set...she is a funny girl... 

So I wonder where it will turn up next...I will keep you updated...
