Baby Jude is 3 months old today! Three months ago Jay and I were in our hospital room completely exhausted from being up since 7 am the day before, but completely enamored with our brand new baby boy...we just couldn't stop looking at him and saying "can you believe we have a baby boy???" as if that was just the craziest thing ever!!
This is him just a few hours old with our Ped, getting his first check up...If you look closely you can see his little face was all bruised up from the delivery.

And this is him today!

Our lives have changed so much in these 3 months. Going from one child to 2 has been a big adjustment. A friend of mine that has 5 children of his own told me recently that going from 1 to 2 was the biggest adjustment, after this it's old hat! Good to know I guess if we want to have any more, but for now it has been a screaming, crying, whining, laughing, giggling, POOPING, (omg the poop!), some days not dressed getting, no sleep having, running around crazy, don't even know what day it is kind of life! Annalee is awesome, she is truly one of the best babies/kids I have ever come in contact with. Yes she can be totally whiny, and want her way, and even pitch a little fit every now and then, but hey, she is almost 2! From the first time she saw Jude in the hospital, she has been totally in love with him. I really can't get over the love that she has for him, she always wants to know where he is and interact with him, she constantly wants to play with him, or dance with him or hug him! If he's in his room for an hour or 2 taking a nap, she misses him and wants to know where he is, and when he gets up she acts as though her BFF has finally returned! Their has been no animosity what so ever, I could not have asked for a better transition!
And Jude! Where to begin, he is such a joy, he has brought so much to our lives already, I had no idea what it would be like to love 2 people in this world so much. He is very emotional, more so than I remember Annalee being (but hey, I'm so sleep deprived I think I'm starting to lose brain cells...) he is a smiley boy, but he also goes from happy to wailing in 1 second flat! He already loves to hold onto something, a lovey, a stuffed animal, a blankie or just a burp cloth will do. He is cuddly and sweet and already showing little boy aggression! He's been trying to hold his up from the time he was about an hour old, his Mimi was holding him and he heard his daddy's voice and looked up at him with his little wobbly head, and he hasn't slowed down since, he can already hold himself up with very little support, and when he gets excited he pumps his arms and legs like crazy, he is a strong boy, and I believe that's what got him through RSV at 7 weeks without hospitalization. I can not wait to see what the rest of his 1st year will hold and to watch him hit all his milestones, or the relationship that will build between he and Annalee, I know it will get so much better when they are able to play together rather than just the one sitting on the others head! It's a fun, and busy, and hard, and happy, and peaceful life we have right now...I wouldn't change a thing <3
Ah....memories! Two babies at the same time...I dont even remember the 1st 3 months!! Good thing you blog! I miss your precious cutie pies! It shall be spring soon and all the sickness will hopefully go away!!!
