Choo-Choo! Jude is 2!!

I can not even believe it, sweet Jude is 2 already.  Oh wait, yes I can, we've been experiencing the temper tantrums that come with being 2 for about 6 mo's... so yes, Jude is definitely 2! (he was staring at the cake here ready to dig in)

He had an awesome party with family and friends.  We actually had 4 little 2 year old boys here, and they were so good!  They played and played and ate and ate!

Jude slept until 9 am that morning(what?? that NEVER happens) so we decorated while he slept and got him up with a cinnamon roll and "Happy Birthday".

Then finished the set up for the party...I loved how it turned out, and all the prep went completely smoothly.

The cake was quite an undertaking for me, I have never successfully decorated a cake...ever...in my life...until this one...

It was by no means perfect, but I loved it, and so did Jude, he kept saying "wow!"

All the little ones had bandanas, conductor hats and train whistles.  Of course most did not want to wear them, they are 2 after all.  But I did bribe Jude with Cake to get him to wear his for a few pictures!

He enjoyed eating the cake so much, he just dug right in, living up to his nickname "The Little Viking" he has no use for utensils, and much prefers to just shovel it in with his hands. That's his friend Levi next to him.  His mom and I have been friends since we were 13, so it was extra special to have him there!

Now it's present time, and he seriously got way to much stuff.  He opened and opened and opened some more!  And after everyone left we remembered there was one more we forgot to bring out (sorry aunt Dana!) so he opened yet again!

There really were other little children there, but we didn't get good pictures of them, I wish we had, but I handed off the camera so I could enjoy the party and didn't even think about it until I saw the photos. This one has sweet little Koen in it who was enjoying his very first Birthday Party!

And this one has cousin Isaac patiently waiting back there (yes the headless one :( ) for his turn with the Tonka Truck.

Then the big gift...

It was definitely a hit, after it was open and set up we had to get out every ball in the house so all the little boys (and Annalee) could shoot and shoot and shoot with out having to wait to take turns!

it was really an awesome party and it really is hard to believe that 2 years have passed since the precious day he was born.  I thank God every night for the sweet gift that Jude is to us.

  2. Looks like such a cute party! Half of your pics didn't like me tonight though and wouldn't show up, but I could see some. :) And the cake came out cute!
