Ok, so this was the first year we actually went trick or treating, and let me tell you, I LOVED IT! It was right up there with Christmas morning for me. Annalee and Jude were so excited and amazed every single time we went to a new house and they gave them candy too!
The night did start out a bit rough though...we were running late as usual, and although Annalee was thrilled to put on her costume and be Alice in Wonderland for the night, she kept running around saying, "have you seen the white rabbit??"
Ezra was just indifferent to his, it as fine as long as I wasn't messing with it....
Jude was, well, less than thrilled...he's definitely about to be 2! Anytime he has seen his costume in the past month that it has been living in my closet, he has always wanted to put it on...but now the day I want him to wear it, he wants nothing to do with it...I think it started when I put the bandana and hat on him, he really wasn't down with that, so we had to nix those, and I was finally able to bribe him with his pappy to put Thomas the Train on! I'm sure I'm going to some special mommy hell for that one...
BUT! He finally put it on and we loaded up and headed to a neighborhood since we don't live in one, and tried to get some pictures at Mimi and Bumpy's new house...Annalee was totally in character and posing and loving every minute of it, Jude, not so much...
This was the best I could get, seriously hoping some Bumpy took came out better...
And this is my attempt at all 3...I finally gave up...
And off we went.
Jude was a little unsure at first...
But once he saw that the reward for walking up to the house and looking cute was candy! He was sold!!
Especially since at the first house his prize was a full size Milky Way Bar! (That Jay ate last night)
And this is what Ezra was doing...
And then he got tired and hungry and he did this...such a good sweet baby!
And so it went until it was past dark...and our babies were exhausted
It was seriously so much fun, I think more for me than even for them!
.
Oh my, were they ever adorable!!! Loved the train costume...Grant woulda gone bananas over that! And, Alice?? Oh my, I woulda gone bananas over that as a little girl! I wanted to BE Alice!! Annalee made a perfect representation!!
ReplyDeleteCute pics, even if Jude wasn't cooperative. ;)
