On Friday Annalee and I went on her very 1st field trip with the Co-op to Happy Cow Farm. We had a great time, she got to milk a cow...
Well...sort of anyway. She thought it was hilarious and all kind of fun.
We went on a tractor ride around the farm where Farmer Tom told us all about the 12 Aprils, and how he only feeds his cows beautiful green grass and how it saved the farm...literally! very interesting stuff.
We got to see lots of gorgeous cows! Including one that was due to give birth any minute, and we all secretly hoped we would get to witness this momentous event, but alas, we did not.
It was just gorgeous out on the farm, but Annalee did not appreciate the smell AT ALL! In fact she talked about it for days afterward how cows are sooooo stinky!
We also got to visit the Milking room where the cows line up to be relieved of their milk so the rest of us can partake of it's goodness.
After the tour was over came our most favorite part, the tasting! The chocolate milk tastes like melted chocolate ice cream...which we immediately went to the little store and bought :)
It was a great day, and I am so thankful to have found Upstate that I can not even express it! We are trully blessed to be getting the best of both world's!
