So...I had a birthday...

So last Wednesday was my 33rd birthday...yippee...

No really it was a great day. Annalee, Jude and I spent most of the day at Mimi's pool with our friends Laura and Kate and had big fun playing and tromping through the garden!

I actually got to have 2 birthday celebrations, one with my family and one with Jay's! How lucky am I?? But I forgot my camera for the one with jay's family, but it was a lot of fun...other than Jude coughing until he puked all over himself in his carseat on the way over...after that it was lots of fun...

The night of my actual birthday, my family came over for cake and ice cream and of course presents!

I got some good ones of me and my babies...









And then one of my favorite parts of the night...my nieces and nephews each made cards for me.


Isaiah who is 7, made this one, it's a photo of me and Annalee right after she was born, he made the ribbon border for it all by himself...very sweet






and this one is from Isabelle, she's 9...and she said she couldn't find a picture of me to put in her card so she just used one of herself...It says "Happy Birthday Amy! You grow so fast! You're already 33! Love you a bunch. Your loving Niece, Isabelle"






This is the front of Adam's card, he's 11...and the family comedian, he informed before I read it that "poba" (poobah) was someone really important...

And then finally from my niece Sidney, who is 16 going on 17, and a true blonde...I'm sure you'll see why I loved this one, although not sure why she thinks she's my cousin...







And this is my most very favorite birthday present, that my wonderful sweet and thoughtful husband bought for me...a big bad JA henckles chef's knife! Please pay no attention to my dirty counter...it's usually much cleaner...yeah that's it...







I absolutely could not wait to use it, so the next morning I needed to make some squash baby food, and proceeded to slice up the squash with my new knife...whoohoo!...it ended with blood running down my arm...I must respect the knife...this is my sad little finger after it was cleaned up...I know... you're welcome...
