The Elephants!
Annalee loved them and kept make "the" sound...I can't do it myself and I certainly can't spell it...so don't make me try...
Annalee on her daddy's shoulders...
She loves it up there....
But he spends most of the time like this....she's not as content to sit there and be still anymore...
Can't remember what this one was...but he was close up and just staring at everybody...
The lion was really scary...
and then we got to see Bob! The baby Orangutan at our zoo...he's just a little bit older than Annalee... I think...they certainly act about the same age! I remember the first time I saw him, he was a real baby and his mama was holding him, and sh leaned down and kissed him on his little head...so sweet! And the next time we saw him his mama and daddy were trying to sleep and he was obviously bored and trying to wake them up...ahhh...I'm a little obsessed with Bob...anyway this day he was quite active...
and even got right up at the window, and had found a worm...and was pulling it apart and eating it...nice...
The posed picture with me in it. so I have proof that I was actually there :) It's the best we could do, Annalee is not really into be still for...well anything... And Jude in the sling...I love my sling...I could not have survived the past 6 months without it...
Annalee and her daddy looking at Monkeys...
I love this shot of them...
Obviously this one was a boy...lol...sorry...
and this is what Jude was doing...it was a little bright out...
and then on the Big Bronze Bear!
We had a lot of fun, and the day did not end here, we also went down to the play are where Annalee made some friends...but I'll save that for another post...
Cute pics! I can't tell who Annalee looks more like...her mommy or daddy. ;) What do you think?
ReplyDeleteRight now I think it's her daddy..it used to be me, but her face is changing so much, she definitely has his eyes and chin...the rest I'm not sure about yet :)
ReplyDeleteGreat pics! Soooo cute about the baby orangutan. We're taking a zoo trip next month and I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteI must know how you carry that big boy in a sling for more than a few mins?! Karas is a peanut and I only last 20 mins with her in the sling.
Haha Beth! I am She-Ra! hahahaha...no really it is getting harder and harder, but honestly the sling is so much better on my back than the front carrier, but now my hips start hurting after maybe an hour, but I have hip problems anyway...he is huge and I may not be able to carry him like that for long :(, but I do love it, it makes life sooooo much easier!
ReplyDeleteHi, this looks like a great day! By the way Happy Birthday Amy.
ReplyDeletethank you Mimi!
