To my Husband...

Yesterday was Father's Day. A day set aside to specifically make you think of the father's in your life and the contribution they have made to your life. Father's Day used to be a difficult day for me, but for the past 3 year's, I have a new reason to celebrate. 3 years ago when Annalee was only a couple of month's old, I got to honor you on Father's Day, and that's what it is, an honor to have you in my life, as my husband and as the father to my children. They absolutely adore you, and I love watching the way your face lights up when Annalee comes running to greet you, or when you realize something special just between the two of you, like the way she asks only you tuck her in at night, or how she will sit with you holding her for way longer than she will me.

I love to watch you playing with Jude, it's so obvious how muc
h you love each other. I can't wait to see the bond between you and Jude grow, you will be his whole world, he will look to you for all the answers of life, and I know you will be able to guide him in all he does.

These Children are so blessed to have you as their father. I know you will teach them in the ways of the Lord and instill in them a love and a knowledge of Him.

I know that your love and devotion for them will not falter as they get older, because I see that in your relationship with Lara. Things are different now that she is a teenager and quite literally almost grown, but I see the love you have for her and hear it in your prayers for her.

I love having children with you and doing this parenting thing with you. You keep me grounded in reality, you provide security and comfort to me. You have put up with me through 2 pregnancies, and believe me I know I'm not the easiest person to be around when I'm pregnant!

You are my love, and I would choose you over and over again. I am so looking forward to raising these (and possibly more) children with you. I love you for the wonderful daddy you are!

Here are a few pictures of what it means to be a daddy in ou
r family...lots of holding and loving and playing!
