The Message

My child...the girl...is quite phone obsessed. Any chance she can get to grab my phone (or any other for that matter) she will! Many times during the day I find that I have left my phone on a side table that is within her reach or to close to the edge of the counter or island, and she will be walking around the house like this...

She will push the buttons and my phone will be in some menu I've never even seen before when I finally get it back into my possession...

This morning was no different...Jude had just woken up from his nap, and I was in his room changing him and getting him out of his pj's when Annalee strolls in carrying my phone. As soon as I spotted her I said 'hey, bring me my phone!" And of course being the perfectly well behaved little 2 year old (I still can't believe it, so i have to keep saying it over and over again) that she is, she takes off running...and giggling...she thinks this is a fun game...
I still have Jude on the changing table, so as I have to do many times a day with these two babies of mine, I just let it go and decide to deal with it in a minute...

I finish up with Jude and go and find Annalee, she still has my phone but it's in one piece and is still on the main screen, so YAY! crisis averted...(she has been known to single handedly destroy a phone)

A little later I sit down to check my email/facebook/sheknows/themanyblogsifollow, etc...because it has been a really long time since I last checked and some really important stuff may have
happened :) anyway, I had an email from Jay saying "I'm on the phone with Dell tech support, sorry I didn't answer when you called"...and I bust out laughing, because of course I had not called him, his dear sweet daughter had apparently hit just the right buttons to redial his number! I thought this was hilarious and emailed back to let him know what had happened...

half an hour later he calls me and is like "so you didn't call me earlier," and I'm like "no Annalee did", and he's like "so you didn't have her leave me the message?" Ummmmmmm NO, what message???
Turns out dear sweet daughter not only called her daddy but upon hearing his voice, decided to leave him a message! He just came home for lunch and let me listen to it, it is so stinkin' cute! And if I can find away to get it on here I definitely will, so you all can share in her utter cuteness!

I really like her...

  1. Oh, it's hilarious, Jay said he can record it onto his computer somehow, I need to get him to do that, and I'll post it!
